Aixa Salazar

Born and raised in the colonial city of Puebla Mexico, Aixa Salazar comes from a family with generations of successful artists, and was influenced throughout her childhood to different mediums and styles of art.

After earning a Degree in Art at the Instituto de Artes Visuales in Puebla, Aixa was awarded a position to teach art appreciation and oil painting courses to adults with raw talent in art.

From Puebla, she moved to San Diego where she had a successful partnership with a local sculptor designing prototypes for the decorative home accessories industry.

After a few years in San Diego, Aixa set her sights on Los Angeles. Since her move to L.A. Aixa has participated in exhibits at the Mexican Consulate Los Angeles and the Asto Museum of Art and has produced artwork commissions for Private Collectors. She is currently under contract with a respected art-publishing firm to paint botanicals for the home furnishings industry. She has also started a business partnership specializing in fine art restoration. As Aixa becomes more involved in local art groups and events, her work is quickly gaining public exposure.
