Sharron Shayne

Sharron Shayne graduated from Otis College of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2008.  Prior to that she graduated with an Art degree and highest honors from Santa Monica City College, where she was also a graduate of their prestigious Arts Mentor Program.  She is a member of Los Angeles Art Association, Gallery 825, which is devoted to emerging artists.  She has been in many group shows.

Juried shows: The Anxiety of the Moment, Ben Maltz Gallery, Los Angeles, curated by Sue Spaid, Executive Director of The Baltimore Contemporary Museum. Open Show, Gallery 825, Los Angeles, curated by Apsara DiQuinzio,  assistant curator The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She is also an award-winning actor, having appeared extensively on Broadway, Off-Broadway and in numerous Los Angeles productions, including television and feature films.  She attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, UK, and is a proud lifetime member of The Actors’ Studio, as well as Pacific Resident Theatre in Venice, and The Rogue Machine Theatre in Los Angeles. She was married to the late film director and writer, Lawrence Leonard Simeone, to whom she dedicates all of her art and performances.
